Browns Summitt, N.C. – The Virginia women’s golf team is in 10th place after 36 holes of play at the Bryan National Collegiate in Browns Summit, N.C. After Friday’s opening round was rained out, the teams played 36 holes at the Bryan Park Champions Course on Saturday. UVA turned in rounds of 302 and 294 for a total of 20-over 596.

Alabama leads the 18-team field at 3-under 573.

Sophomore Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.) led UVA by ending the second round in 17th place. She had scores of 73 and 72 to finish the day at 1-over 145. Senior Lauren Diaz-Yi (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) is in 29th place at 4-over 148. She had rounds of 73 and 75.

Junior Maho Hayakawa (Lake Mary, Fla.) is in 45h place at 152. She shot 78 in the morning and 74 in the afternoon. Freshman Julia Ford (Shrewsbury, Mass.) is in 59th place at 155 (78-77) and Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) rounded out UVA’s team scoring by shooting 157 (84-73) to finish the round in 69th place.

Sophomore Katharine Patrick (Houston, Texas) is competing as an individual. She is tied with Ford for 59th place with rounds of 77 and 78.

The final round of the tournament takes place Sunday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is online at Golfstat.com.
