CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Saturday game between Virginia and Notre Dame at Davenport Field currently is in a rain delay. A new start time has yet to be established.
The game was stopped at 1:10 p.m. prior to the first pitch of the bottom of the seventh inning. Virginia leads Notre Dame, 9-0, with Jake McCarthy, Ernie Clement and Andy Weber due up. UVA starting pitcher Noah Murdock fired 6 1/3 innings of shutout baseball before handing the ball to Alec Bettinger for the final two outs of the seventh.
