Athens, Ga. – Virginia sophomore Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) moved up to a tie for 13th place following the second round of play at the NCAA Women’s Golf Regional Championship taking place at the University of Georgia Golf Course. Redding shot even par 72 on Tuesday for a 36-hole total of 1-over 145.

Redding played her front nine at even par and dropped to 2-over after bogeys on the No. 10 and 13 holes. She finished strong with birdies on 15 and 18 to finish the day at even par.

The top-six teams from the regional and the low three individuals who are not members of those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, which will be contested on May 19-24 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Hills, Ill., outside Chicago.

Redding finished the second round tied for fourth among the players not competing for a team that was in the top six on the leaderboard after the first 36 holes.

Redding will tee off starting at 8:18 a.m. from the first hole on Wednesday for her final round.
