CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s soccer program is slated for 12 home games at KlÃÆ’Æ‘¶ckner Stadium this fall. The Cavaliers will open up the 2017 season at home when they host Villanova on Friday, Aug. 25.

The season opener is part of a five-game home stand that includes matches against Colonial Athletic Association Regular Season Champion Hofstra (Aug. 31), UNC-Wilmington (Sept. 4), Syracuse (Sept. 8) and Marquette (Sept. 12).

Annually playing one of the most challenging schedules in the country, Virginia will play four teams ranked in the final 2016 NSCAA top-25, all in the month of September. Among the ranked foes are

No. 4 North Carolina (Home – Sept. 22), No. 8 Virginia Tech (Away- Sept. 15), No. 11 Syracuse and No. 14 Notre Dame (Away – Sept. 29).

A total of eight 2016 NCAA Tournament teams are on the docket for the Cavaliers including non-conference tilts against Portland (Home- Oct. 2) and Big South Conference Champion Radford (Home- Oct. 17). Additional non-ACC opponents include Davidson (Sept. 25) and Lehigh (Oct. 10)

The final home game of the regular season will be against Pittsburgh on Friday, Oct. 20 before traveling to Duke for the regular season finale on Friday, Oct. 27. Virginia will not play Clemson, Louisville or Wake Forest in ACC action this season.

The 2017 ACC Tournament will be contested November 1-12 while the NCAA Tournament begins Nov. 16 and culminates with the NCAA College Cup Dec. 8 and 10 at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa.

The Cavaliers will play three preseason matches, two at Kl̮ծԦckner beginning Saturday Aug. 12 against Wright State. Virginia will host Old Dominion the following Tuesday (Aug. 15) before traveling to Georgetown for a final tune-up on Aug. 19.

Season Tickets will go on sale starting June 5. Reserved chair back seats are $45 for the season. General admission season tickets start at $15 for youth, seniors and UVA Faculty and Staff and $20 for adults. The priority deadline for season ticket holders with reserved seats to renew their seats is July 21. Single-game tickets for all 12 home games will go on sale August 7.
