Five Cavaliers Named CRCA All-Region 3

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Five members of the Virginia rowing program were recognized with Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-Region 3 awards.

Seniors Erin Briggs (Orono, Minn.) and Georgia Ratcliff (Falls Church, Va.) were named to the CRCA All-Region 3 first team, while seniors Colette Lucas-Conwell (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Ellen Pate (Lafayette, Calif.) and junior Jane Hudson (Sandy, Utah) were recognized on the second team.

Ratcliff and Lucas-Conwell earned all-region honors for the third consecutive season. Briggs earned her second straight All-Region 3 first-team honor.

Ratcliff, Briggs, Lucas-Conwell, Hudson and Pate were part of the UVA Varsity Eight that claimed an ACC championship on placed 10th at the NCAA Championships.
