Minor League Hoos

Congratulations to former #UVABASE All-American Joe McCarthy who was named the Southern League Player of the Week. McCarthy is batting .304 with 11 stolen bases in 69 games so far for the Double A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

And while we’re bouncing around the minors, check out this story from MiLB.com about former #UVABASE pitcher Artie Lewicki who is 4-2 with a 2.70 ERA this season for the Erie SeaWolves, Double A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
