Exciting things are happening for former #UVAFH All-American Michelle Vittese and the US Women’s National Team. Team USA are in South Africa competing in the FIH Hockey World League championships. Earlier this week, Michelle scored the game-winner against Japan to send her team into the semis (and guarantee the squad a place in next year’s World Cup). Last night, Michelle set up the equalizing goal against No. 2 England (the gold-medalists at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games) with the Americans prevailing in the sudden-death shootout to advance to the finals. The USWNT will face Germany in the final on Sunday, July 23 at 9:30 a.m. EST with the game streaming live on ESPN3.
