Champion Hoo
Former #UVAMTEN All-American Treat Huey won the doubles title at the Los Cabos Open in Mexico this weekend. It was Huey’s first time playing with doubles teammate Juan Sebastian Cabal and was Huey’s first ATP World Tour doubles title of the season after a runner-up showing this February in Delray Beach with Max Mirnyi. It was his eighth career ATP title and stretches his streak of consecutive years with at least one tournament title on the tour to six years.
Bard Reaches Semis
Former UVA All-American Derek Bard had an impressive showing at the Western Amateur Championship, reaching the semifinals. He tees it up at the U.S. Amateur Championship in a week.
