2017-18 Women’s Tennis Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s tennis team, led by first-year head coach Sara O’Leary, announced its 2017-18 schedule on Friday (Sept. 8) with a slate that includes 13 home matches in the spring, featuring seven home matches against ACC opponents.

In addition to the spring slate, the Cavaliers will also play five weekends of competition across the nation throughout the fall.

In the fall, the Cavaliers compete in the Texas Tech/TCU Invite (Sept. 22-24), the ITA All-American Championships (Sept. 3 – Oct. 8), the Wake Forest Invite (Oct. 6-8), the ITA Atlantic Regional (Oct. 13-17) and the UNC Team Invite (Nov. 3-5). Players also have the chance to compete in the National Individual Indoors (Nov. 2-5).

Virginia will face all 14 ACC teams during its spring schedule, hosting seven matches and traveling for the otherseven.

The Cavaliers will host Syracuse (Feb. 3), Duke (March 4), Miami (March 23), Pittsburgh (March 25), Florida State (March 31), Clemson (April 20) and Wake Forest (April 22). Virginia will travel to face Boston College (Jan. 21), Georgia Tech (March 2), Louisville (March 16), Notre Dame (March 18), Virginia Tech (April 7), North Carolina (April 13) and NC State (April 15).

Virginia is scheduled to face six non-conference opponents, with all six matches played at home. The Cavaliers will host Old Dominion (Jan. 18), Michigan (Feb. 16), a doubleheader with Charlotte and George Mason (Feb. 20), Richmond (Feb. 23) and William & Mary (March 29).

The Cavaliers will also travel to compete at the ITA Kickoff Weekend (Jan. 26-28), participating in the four-team regional hosted by Vanderbilt.
