CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia field hockey freshman midfielder Pien Dicke (Den Haag, Netherlands) was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week in honors announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday (Sept. 25).

Dicke had a hand in all three goals in the Cavaliers’ 3-0 victory over No. 8 Boston College on Friday, scoring twice and assisting on another. She scored the first goal of the game after dribbling all the way from midfield through the Eagle defense. In the Cavaliers’ other two goals, Dicke stole the ball from a Boston College defender and set up both scores, including notching the final goal of the game. Dicke finished the weekend second in the ACC with 12 goals on the season.

This is Dicke’s first ACC honor and the third time this season a Cavalier has been named the offensive player of the week with senior midfielder Tara Vittese (Cherry Hill, N.J.) earning the honor in weeks two and three.

Louisville’s Ayeisha McFerran and North Carolina’s Amanda Hendry were tabbed as Co-Defensive Players of the Week.
