CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 3 Virginia field hockey team (10-2, 3-1 ACC) closes out its current home stand by hosting Drexel (5-8, 0-2 CAA) on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. at University Hall Turf Field in Charlottesville, Va.

Live stats will be available through a GameTracker link on VirginiaSports.com. Admission is free for all of Virginia’s regular-season home field hockey games.

Virginia had its nine-game win streak snapped on Friday evening with a 4-0 loss to No. 6 North Carolina. It was UVA’s first loss since falling to Penn State on August 27.

The Cavaliers, ranked No. 3 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches’ Poll, are in a three-way tie with North Carolina and Syracuse for first place in the ACC.

Drexel is coming off a 7-1 loss at No. 16 James Madison. Tess Bernheimer scored the Dragons’ lone goal. Bernheimer and Tess Horan are tied for the team lead with 10 points apiece. Goalkeeper Erin Gilchrist, who made 13 saves against JMU, has a .724 save percentage this season.

The Cavaliers, who play 11 of their first 13 games at Turf Field, will be on the road next week, traveling to face No. 9 Syracuse on Saturday, October 14 at 1 p.m. The match will stream live online as an ACC Network Extra contest on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.
