Charlottesville, Va. – The No. 21 Virginia women’s golf team wraps up its fall season this weekend at the Battle at the Beach at the Club Campestre San Jose Golf Club in San Lucas, Mexico. The tournament is hosted by Baylor.

The event, on the par-71, 6,360-yard course, begins with a 9:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Friday and Saturday. Sunday’s play starts at 9 a.m. CT, also with a shotgun start.

In addition to host Baylor and the Cavaliers, the 15-team field includes Auburn, Mississippi State, TCU, Ohio State, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, UCLA, Houston, North Carolina, North Texas, Oklahoma and Texas.

Virginia’s lineup for this year’s tournament features juniors Katharine Patrick (Houston, Texas), Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.) and Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.), plus sophomore Julia Ford (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and freshman Beth Lillie (Fullerton, Calif.). Junior Ju Hee Bae (Chantilly, Va.) will compete as an individual.

Virginia is coming off an eighth-place finish at The Landfall Tradition last weekend in Wilmington, N.C. Freshman Beth Lillie (Fullerton, Calif.) tied for first place at the rain-shortened event. She shot 9-under 135 including a second-round score of 5-under 67 to set the UVA freshman scoring record. Lillie enters the Battle at the Beach ranked as the No. 26 individual player in the nation by Golfstat.
