Singles Bracket | Doubles Bracket

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The Virginia women’s tennis team doubles pairing of Rosie Johanson (Abbotsford, British Columbia) and Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Maine) ended a run at the ITA National Fall Championships in the quarterfinals on Friday (Nov. 3).

The fifth-seeded doubles team in the event, Johanson and Kelley battled with the Stanford duo of Emily Arbuthnott and Michaela Gordon, falling 3-6, 7-6 (5), 1-0 (4).

The Cavalier duo picked up a pair of wins in the first two days of the event, defeating a doubles team from the University of Denver in the first round before knocking off the ninth-ranked doubles team of Leolia Jeanjean and Giulia Pairone of Arkansas in the second round.

It was the final action of the fall for the pair as Virginia wraps up the fall season this weekend. The rest of the squad is competing in action at the Kitty Harrison Invitational hosted by North Carolina that runs through the weekend.
