WASHINGTON-
The Virginia men’s and women’s squash teams will compete against George Washington at the Mathew J. Grossman Squash Courts in Washington D.C., on Tuesday (November 28). The No. 13 Cavalier women will face the No. 12 Colonials at 4 p.m., followed by the No. 17 Virginia men’s team competing against No. 11 George Washington at 6 p.m.

Last time out, the Virginia women’s team (2-2) suffered a loss to No. 2 Penn and No. 5 Stanford. Despite the loss, the Cavaliers forced two matches into a fourth game against Stanford and three matches into a fourth game against Penn.

The Virginia men’s team (3-2) fell to No. 5 Penn before sweeping Richmond and North Carolina. Four Cavaliers forced a fourth game against the Quakers before the team topped the Spiders and Tar Heels with three-game wins in all nine positions.

The Colonial women (1-2) enter tomorrow’s match after falling to No. 3 Trinity and No. 4 Princeton, while the men’s team (2-2) suffered recent defeats against No. 1 Trinity and No. 8 Princeton.

Last season, the Cavalier women and Colonials competed three times with Virginia winning 5-4 in the first meeting, before falling 7-2 in the remaining two matches. On the men’s side, the two teams met twice with Virginia suffering a 6-3 and 8-1 loss, respectively.
