Hoos headed to the #WorldChampionships

#UVAMLAX freshman Corey Millhouse has just been announced as a member of the Puerto Rico National Lacrosse Team. Millhouse will join the team this summer and will take part in the 2018 FIL World Championships, which will be played in Netanya, Israel. Millhouse won’t be the only Cavalier over there in Israel. Virginia head coach Lars Tiffany has been named an assistant coach for the Iroquois Confederacy, which includes Six Nations of Native Americans living in the North East of the USA and in Canada.

#FirstPractice

Preparation for the 2018 #VirginiaTennis season officially got under way on Tuesday with both the men’s and women’s teams holding their first practices of the spring season at the Boar’s Head. First year head coach Sara O’Leary shared her thoughts about her squad in this video shared on Twitter. Both teams open at home next week with #UVAWTEN hosting Old Dominion on Thursday, Jan. 18 and #UVAMTEN hosting Richmond on Saturday, January 20. Both matches start at 5 p.m. at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.

Egg Roulette

Fans at the #UVAMBB game against Syracuse on Tuesday night were treated to a very special halftime contest. #UVASB head coach Joanna Hardin went head-to-head (literally) against #UVABASE head coach Brian O’Connor in a game of Egg Roulette. The two coaches were presented with a carton of eggs. Eight were hard boiled and four in their raw, flowing form. They each took turns smashing the eggs into their foreheads, hoping for a dry result. It is definitely the MUST SEE video of the day. You can also check out these pics of the contest. Virginia baseball opens up on Feb. 16 in Orlando, taking on UCF while softball begins on February 8 at McNeese State.
