CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. ÃÆ’Æ‘Æ‘¢ÃƒÆ’Æ‘¢’¬” Virginia outfielder Allison Davis (Oak Hill, Va.) has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Co-Player of the Week.

The senior hit at a blistering .588 clip in five games last week. Davis also went deep in four of the five contests to vault herself to second in the ACC with six home runs on the season. She shares the weekly award with Notre Dame’s Ali Wester.

Davis hit in each of Virginia’s five games on the week and delivered multiple RBI in three. Over the five games, she drove in nine runs to take the team-lead on the season with 18 RBI.

The honor is the first ACC weekly award for a Virginia player this season.

Virginia (8-14) welcomes Georgia Tech to The Park this weekend for the first ACC series of the season. First pitch in Friday’s series opener is set for 6 p.m.
