Charlottesville, Va. ââ’¬” The No. 46 Virginia men’s golf team opens play at the NCAA Regional in Norman, Okla., on Monday, May 14. The 54-hole event runs through Wednesday at the par-72, 7,452-yard Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club. Virginia is the No. 8 seed in the 14-team field. Virginia’s lineup includes senior Danny Walker (Bradenton, Fla.), junior Thomas Walsh (High Point, N.C.) and sophomores Andrew Orischak (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) and Ashton Poole (Charlotte, N.C.) and freshman Jimmie Massie (Lynchburg, Va.). Freshman WeiWei Gao (Cebu City, Philippines) will travel as the team’s alternate.

Walsh, the 2018 ACC Individual Champion and an All-ACC selection, leads the team with a 70.65 stroke average and has topped the Hoos in scoring in seven of the team’s last nine tournaments.
