#UVABase head coach Brian O’Connor is spending a portion of the summer serving as the pitching coach for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. In addition to mentoring young players, he is coaching alongside his own mentor, LSU’s Paul Mainieri. Mainieri was O’Connor’s college head coach at Creighton and worked with him for nine years at Notre Dame when Mainieri was the Irish’s head coach. CBS19’s Damon Dillman has the complete story here.
