CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Recent graduate Kasey Behr (Northport, N.Y.) was named to the U.S. Women’s National Team that will take on James Madison in the Team USA Fall Classic at U.S. Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., on Oct. 6.
 
The 27-player roster includes 12 of the 18 players that won gold with the 2017 U.S. World Cup team, a handful of other veterans from the U.S. team program and several recent college graduates.
 
Behr was a two-time All-American and three-time All-ACC selection during her four years as a Cavalier. She finished her UVA career ranking seventh all-time with 153 career goals and fifth all-time in draw controls with 151.
 
Behr joins Sarah Brown (Colorado), Kristen Gaudian (JMU), Kelly Glatthorn (Virginia Tech), Courtney Murphy (Stony Brook), Katie O’Donnell (Penn State), Kylie Ohlmiller (Stony Brook) and Shayna Pirreca (Florida) as newcomers to the team.
 
The U.S. Women – James Madison matchup is the second game of a doubleheader at US Lacrosse on Oct. 6, featuring the reigning world and national champions. The day opens with the U.S. Men playing Yale at 12 noon. Tickets are available online (https://shop.uslacrosse.org/products/team-usa-fall-classic) with a $5 savings over the walk-up price. Proceeds benefit the U.S. National Teams Program.
