Five Cavaliers Named NFCA Scholar-Athletes
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Five members of the Virginia softball team earned Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for the 2017-18 season.
Kate Covington (McLean, Va.), Allison Davis (Oak Hill, Va.), Molly Keshin (New Canaan, Conn.), Erika Osherow (Darien, Conn.) and Lacy Smith (Lancaster, Pa.) all earned the academic honor for the Cavaliers. In addition, the Cavaliers earned recognition as an Easton/NFCA Academic Team.
Virginia posted a 3.46 team grade-point average, ranking among the top 50 in the country. The mark was the highest GPA for the program since tracking began in 2003.
