CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-  The No. 13 Virginia men’s squash team (1-1) swept Richmond (2-3) in the team’s home opener on Saturday (Nov. 10) at the McArthur Squash Center. The Cavaliers won all nine positions against the Spiders in three games.

“It was great to notch a win in our first home match of the season,” head coach Mark Allen said. “(Christian) Kohlmeyer, (David) Brenman and (Harrison) Kapp didn’t feature in the mid-week match versus Navy but were able to get their season underway with 3-0 victories today. I know all of the guys are excited about the opportunity to test themselves against Princeton tomorrow and I hope we can have a huge local turn out to cheer the team on.”

Kapp recorded a dominate performance, dropping just four points in his match. He defeated Carson Beckett 11-1, 11-1, 11-2. Kohlmeyer secured an 11-2, 11-3, 11-2 win against Liam Day.
