CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Clemson (15-13, 6-9 ACC) hit .318 on its way to a 25-15, 25-19, 25-22 sweep of Virginia (8-18, 4-12 ACC) on Saturday (Nov. 10) night in Memorial Gymnasium.
 
Grace Turner (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the Cavaliers with 10 kills on the night. Kelsey Miller (Crestwood, Ky.) racked up a match-high 10 digs in the loss.
 
Solei Thomas paced Clemson with 14 kills. Brooke Bailey added another 11 for the Tigers.
 
SET 1: Clemson 25, Virginia 15
The Tigers hit .476 with 14 kills to cruise in the opening set. Clemson used a red-hot start to open a commanding 15-3 lead. Ashtynne Alberts produced five kills to lead Clemson in the opening frame.
 
Meanwhile, Virginia was limited to seven kills, led by Turner with three.
 
SET 2: Clemson 25, Virginia 19
Virginia out-hit Clemson in the middle set, but the Tigers capitalized on four Cavalier service errors and a trio of aces to claim a six-point win. A 3-0 run for Clemson opened a 16-10 lead midway through the frame. The Cavaliers would close within 19-16, but a service error halted the momentum.
 
SET 3: Clemson 25, Virginia 22
Thomas produced seven kills to lead the Tigers to 17 kills in the frame. Clemson hit .353 to close out the match. Virginia jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the set and was the first to 15, but Clemson flipped the frame.
 
With the match tied at 21-21, Bailey knocked down back-to-back kills for Clemson. A service error and attack error sealed the match.
