Virginia Announces Spring Competition Dates

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia field hockey team will play in a combination of five scrimmages and tournaments during its 2019 spring training period, including two home scrimmages.

The Cavaliers opened the spring with a scrimmage at Appalachian State on February 17. They will host James Madison on Friday, March 22 at 6 p.m. and the US U19 team on Saturday, March 30 at 1:30 p.m. The team will close out the spring by playing in a tournament at Penn on Saturday, April 6.

Additionally, members of the team will be competing on March 2-3 at the Big Apple National Indoor Tournament in Pottstown, Pa.

The home scrimmages are open to the public and will be played at University Hall Turf Field.
