FROM HEAD COACH JULIE MYERS
“It is a game I would love to play again. We didn’t play particularly well, then suddenly found ourselves with the lead and we squandered it. We were not consistent from the first half to the second. We had moments that we thought were going to okay, but it wasn’t enough. Almost doesn’t get you that far, it turns out. We have a lot to work on and a lot of season left to be able to do that.”

NOTES

  • Mueller had five points (four goals, one assist), team-highs in ground balls (5) and caused turnovers (3) and added five draw controls
  • Jackson had a team-high six draw controls
  • Junior Charlie Campbell (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) made 10 saves
  • UVA held Notre Dame to its lowest score this season
