CSA Rankings

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Freshman Patrick McElroy (Brookline, Mass.) concluded his first collegiate season as the 29th-ranked individual in college squash according to the College Squash Association’s release of the top 32 individual players on Tuesday (March 19).
 
McElroy represented the Cavalier men at the CSA Individual Championships, where he fell in the Molloy Cup East semifinals. McElroy captured wins against Mohammad Harith Khawaja (Amherst), and Elliot Gross (Colby) before dropping a hard-fought five-game semifinal match to Charles Culhane (Cornell).
 
Playing as the No. 1 in Virginia’s lineup, McElroy made 21 appearances for the Cavaliers and recorded a 10-11 record while at the top of the ladder. He concluded the season 12-12 overall, including his 2-1 record at the CSA Individual Championships.  
 
According to the CSA ranking policies, the results from the 2019 CSA Individual National Championships determine the end-of-season individual rankings. To ensure integrity in the rankings, only the top 32 finishers at Individual Nationals are ranked, unless a waiver for an injury is granted.
