CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Virginia’s Second Varsity Eight was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week Wednesday (March 20) after winning all three of its races at Oak Ridge Invite last weekend at Melton Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
 
On Saturday (March 16), the Cavaliers’ Second Varsity Eight recorded a time of 5:52.689, in defeating crews from Minnesota and Miami. Virginia’s 2V8 then posted a time of 5:41.899 to defeat Yale and Alabama. The Cavaliers added a 5:46.474 clocking to defeat Louisville and Tulsa.
 
The 3-0 record for the regatta led Virginia to 12 wins in 15 races.

The Cavaliers return to action at the Pac-12 Invite on March 30-31 in Redwood Shores, Calif.
