CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Six members of the Virginia field hockey team will be heading overseas to play on international tours this month as members of U.S. junior national and development teams.
 
Freshman forward Grace Wallis (Blue Bell, Pa.) is a member of the U-19 USWNT that will travel to Dusseldorf to take on Germany’s U-18 team twice and Belgium’s U-18 team once at the Dusseldorfer Hockey Club.
 
Freshman midfielder Greer Gill (Virginia Beach, Va.), sophomore goalie Lauren Hausheer (West Windsor, N.J.) and sophomore defender Rachel Robinson (Mount Joy, Pa.) will be traveling with the U.S. U-21 National Field Hockey Team. The squad will be in Monchengladbach, Germany, from April 17-24 for the 3 Nations Invitational with Germany’s U-21 team and Great Britain’s U-21 team. The US U21 team will play two games against each opponent at both the Viersener Tennis and Hockey Club and Warsteiner HockeyPark.
 
Junior midfielder Erin Shanahan (Pasadena, Md.) and senior goalkeeper Carrera Lucas (Brooklandville, Md.) are members of the Women’s National Development Squad and will be touring the Netherlands from April 13-22. They will play two games against the Scotland senior team, one against Belgium’s U-21 team and the Stichtsche Cricket en Hockeyclub (SCHC) team at the AMHC Rood-Wit and SCHC.
