AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 10 Virginia rowing team placed second at the Longhorn Invite on Saturday (April 27) on Walter E. Long Lake in Austin, Texas.

No. 4 Texas won the invite with 40 points, followed by No. 10 Virginia (35), No. 13 Iowa (31) and No. 16 Indiana (26).

“I think we made some good progress this weekend,” head coach Kevin Sauer said. “The 2V8 had a fantastic race to come from behind and win. The V8 has improved to finish third behind very fast Texas and Iowa V8’s, and both 4’s had gutsy races. Many thanks to the University of Texas for hosting.”
