CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior defender Kaitlin Luzik (Alexandria, Va.) will represent the Virginia women’s lacrosse team at the 2019 IWLCA Senior All-Star Game held on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md., on Saturday, June 1. The Division I game will begin at 1 p.m.
 
 The 44 players selected in each Division have been divided into two teams: North and South. Luzik is one of six defenders selected to the South Team.
 
Admission for all three games is free of charge. The games will also be web-streamed live on IWLCA-tv.com.
 
Luzik, a four-year starter for the Cavaliers, was a two-time All-ACC selection at UVA. The defender accumulated 137 ground balls, 91 caused turnovers and 73 draw controls in her career as a Cavalier. Luzik’s 91 caused turnovers ranks eighth all-time at Virginia. Luzik had 26 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers in her senior season. She helped UVA’s defense rank fourth in the ACC in caused turnovers per game (8.80) and fifth in ground balls per game (16.70) and scoring defense (11.05).
