CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia rowing team travels to Princeton, N.J., on Sunday (Oct. 27) to compete in the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie.
 
The Cavaliers will have five boats competing in the Varsity Eights race, which is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
 
The Princeton Chase is a headrace competed along a 3.0-mile course on Lake Carnegie and features many of the top collegiate programs on the East Coast.
 
The Cavaliers’ Varsity Eight boat place third at the Princeton Chase in 2017, while the Second Varsity Eight placed fifth. UVA did not compete at the event in 2018.
 
At the Head of the Charles on Oct. 20,  in Boston, UVA’s Varsity Eight placed fourth
among collegiate boats (sixth overall) in the Championship Eights.
 
The UVA Varsity Eight featured coxswain Colette Glass (Tampa, Fla.), stroke Reilly White (Wyckoff, N.J.), Lizzie Trull (Wellesley, Mass.), Star Davidson (Canterbury, N.Z), Sophia Kershner (Palmyra, Va.), Katy Flynn (Churchville, N.Y.), Isabella Strickler (Grosse Pointe, Mich.), To Wiersma (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and bow Carrie Warner (East London, South Africa). 
 
Virginia concludes its fall season by hosting the Rivanna Romp on the Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Va., on Sunday, Nov. 17.
