Orischak Shares Lead at Georgia Southern Individual Collegiate
Statesboro, Ga. –Virginia senior Andrew Orischak (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) ended the first day of play at the Georgia Southern Individual Collegiate tied for first place. Orischak had rounds of 69 and 71 to finish the opening 36 holes at 4-under 140. He is tied with Tennessee’s Chase Roswall at the top of the leaderboard.
The tournament, UVA’s first of the spring, is a non-team scoring event.
Junior WeiWei Gao (Cebu, Philippines) is in ninth-place at 1-over 145. Gao shot rounds of 75 and 70. Senior Christopher White (Garden City, N.Y.) and freshman Pietro Bovari (Milano, Italy) are tied for 27th place at 7-over 151 while senior Nathan Chuwait (Herndon, Va.) is in 31st position at 152. Sophomore Jack Montague (Manakin-Sabot, Va.) is in 35th place at 155.
The final 18 holes of the tournament will take place Monday. The field will begin play at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. There is no live scoring for this event.
