CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia softball hosts its first game at Palmer Park on Tuesday, March 3. With the move to Palmer Park, fans will notice a number of new game day enhancements and procedures.
 
TICKETS
Virginia softball season and single-game tickets are on sale now. All seating is general admission in 2020 with season tickets just $45. UVA faculty and staff may purchase season tickets for $35. Single-game tickets are available for $5 in advance or $8 at the box office on game day.
 
Fans may purchase tickets online at UVATix.com or through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. for in-person or telephone purchases. Telephone purchases can be made by calling 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821) or locally at 434-924-UVA1 (8821).
 
PARKING
Free parking for Virginia softball games will be located in the John Paul Jones Arena, JPJ South (formerly University Hall) and McCue Center lots. Parking on game day is first-come, first-served. On days of events at John Paul Jones Arena, special parking procedures will be posted.
 
ENTRY PROCEDURES
Fans will enter Palmer Park through the main athletics gate located on Copeley Road. This is the same entrance used for Klöckner Stadium. Security screening will be in place at all softball games at Palmer Park. Gates will open one hour prior to the start of all softball games.
 
Virginia’s clear bag policy will be in place for Palmer Park. Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and cannot exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or clear one-gallon plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar) are also permitted. Small clutch bags/wallets no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ (with or without a handle or strap) can be taken into the stadium and will be subject to search.
 
On days of multiple athletic events in the vicinity, fans should plan on arriving early to avoid lines at the gate.
 
SEATING
All seating at Palmer Park is general admission for the 2020 season. In addition to the main seating bowl, fans can enjoy berm seating around the outfield and down the right field line. There is also a spectator porch down the left field line. Similar to Disharoon Park and Klöckner Stadium, folding chairs are permitted at Palmer Park.
 
GAME DAY EXPERIENCE
The Palmer Park concession stand is located on the main concourse behind home plate. In addition, fans can purchase a variety of Virginia athletics gear at the team shop located on the main concourse directly adjacent to the concessions stand.
 
Restrooms are located on the first-base side of the main concourse.
