CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s lacrosse team announced its 2021 schedule today (February 3). The Cavaliers are under the direction of Julie Myers, who enters her 26th season at UVA in 2021.

UVA will play 15 regular-season games, with nine of those at home. The schedule also features 10 ACC contests, with the Cavaliers playing Virginia Tech, Duke and North Carolina twice.

Virginia will open the 2021 season at home, on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Klöckner Stadium. The remaining home slate will include games against Virginia Tech (Feb. 27), Louisville (March 6), George Mason (March 10), VCU (March 17), Duke (March 19 & 21), Notre Dame (April 3) and Virginia Tech (April 24).

The Cavaliers will be on the road at Richmond (Feb. 19), Boston College (March 13), James Madison (March 26), Syracuse (April 10) and North Carolina (April 16 & 18).

The 2021 ACC Championships will be held at North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. April 28-May 2. The NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship will begin with first and second round games May 8 and 10 and quarterfinals on May 16 or 17. The Final Four will be hosted by Towson, May 22-24.

The current guidelines for sports venues provided by the Commonwealth of Virginia under the “Forward Virginia” plan (updated Nov. 13, 2020), allow for the lesser of 30 percent occupancy of the facility or 250 patrons.

Due to health and safety considerations, in addition to the current guidelines for sports venues set by the Commonwealth of Virginia, attendance for UVA home lacrosse competitions will be limited to the family of student-athletes and coaching staff until further notice.

Should the Commonwealth of Virginia adjust the protocols for spectator attendance, the UVA athletics department will announce new capacity guidelines and other protocols to attend events.
