Virginia Tops Liberty in Preseason Scrimmage

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia field hockey team defeated Liberty by a 2-1 score in its final scrimmage of the preseason.

Greer Gill and Grace Parsons scored the goals for the Cavaliers, with Adele Iacabucci assisting on the second. Lauren Hausheer made seven saves for the Cavaliers in her 30 minutes in the cage.

Virginia will open its season on Friday, August 27 when it hosts Penn State.
