CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia softball team will play a total of eight scrimmages against outside competition as part of its fall ball schedule, including a six-game home slate that features a pair of doubleheaders, before closing things out with the three-game Blue-Orange Series.

Virginia will begin fall competition with a doubleheader against JMU and Longwood on Sunday, Oct. 3. The Cavaliers will then play a doubleheader against Norfolk State on Saturday, Oct. 9. Virginia will then play single games against George Washington on Friday, Oct. 15, before hosting Liberty on Friday, Oct. 22.

The Cavaliers hit the road for a pair of games at Liberty on Sunday, Oct. 24, and at Maryland on Friday, Oct. 29.

Virginia will close the fall with its three-game Blue-Orange Series played Nov. 9-12.

Admission to any of Virginia’s home fall games at Palmer Park is free and open to the public.
