Andreas Ueland Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia junior Andreas Ueland was selected to the 2021 Academic All-District Men’s Soccer First Team, CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) announced on Thursday (November 11).

Ueland played in every minute of the 17 games he appeared in during the 2021 season. The defender has been a staple of the UVA defense for the last three seasons. Voted a captain for the 2021 season, Ueland had five points on two goals and one assist this season. He recorded a brace on two penalty kicks to lead UVA to a win over High Point.

The Bryne, Norway native also excels in the classroom, with a 3.74 GPA in Commerce.

The 2021 Academic All‐District Men’s Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

First‐team Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second‐ and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in early December.
