CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s and women’s squash teams will take on a pair of Ivy League opponents this weekend, playing at Yale on Saturday (Nov. 13) and Columbia on Sunday (Nov. 14).

VIRGINIA MEN’S SQUASH

  • Virginia is ranked No. 7 in the CSA team rankings. Yale is No. 8 and Columbia No. 6
  • The Virginia men’s squash team (1-0) opened its season with a MASC victory on Wednesday at Navy, sweeping the Midshipmen 9-0
  • Virginia won seven of the positions in three games
  • Sophomore Taha Dinana made his delayed collegiate debut, finishing off a four-game win at position three
  • Freshman CJ Baldini opened his career with a three-game win at seven
  • This will be the season opener for Yale. Columbia will host Western Ontario on Saturday before taking on the Cavaliers on Sunday
  • Virginia is 1-2 against Columbia and 1-2 against Yale.
  • Virginia topped the Lions 6-3 in their regular-season finale in 2019-20
