CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 40 Virginia men’s golf team heads to Georgia this weekend when the Cavaliers play in the 17th annual Linger Longer Invitational at the Great Waters Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee. The tournament runs March 20-22 with 18 holes contested each day. Teams will tee off starting at 8:30 a.m. from the first and 10th tees each day.

This year’s 15-team field includes Georgia, Alabama, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Chattanooga, Augusta, Charlotte, Toledo, Florida, UNCG, South Florida, Vanderbilt, North Carolina and Clemson. Kennesaw State is the host school for the event.

Virginia’s lineup remains the same from its last two outings. Competing for the Cavaliers will be seniors Sam Jung and Jimmie Massie, junior Pietro Bovari and sophomores George Duangmanee and Chris Fosdick. All of them, except for Jung, played in the tournament last year when the Cavaliers placed third in the 16-team field behind senior WeiWei Gao’s third-place finish. Fosdick had the best showing among that group, placing 11th while Bovari was 16th.
