No. 6 Cavaliers Host UVA Invitational on Saturday, March 26

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 6 Virginia hosts the 2022 spring season by hosting the UVA Invitational on Saturday, March 26 at Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Va.

The Cavaliers welcome No. 20 Tennessee, UCF and North Carolina to the one-day event that will feature morning and afternoon racing.

Virginia will have six crews (Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Four, Third Varsity Eight and Fourth Varsity Eight) competing against No. 20 Tennessee on Saturday morning and UCF in the afternoon.

The Cavaliers’ race schedule on Saturday morning begins with the Varsity Eight at 8:30 a.m. UVA’s afternoon racing schedule starts with the Third Varsity Eight at Noon.

In addition, UVA will recognize seniors Hailey Barnett, Abbie Bird, Janet Conklin, Livia Kimche, Nicola Lawless, Lauren Orr, Amelia Parizek, Charlotte Quinn, Sonja Schlosser and Alli Terblanche following afternoon racing.

The one-day event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available at the Thomas Temple Allan Boathouse on the west bank of the Rivanna Reservoir.
