Virginia Squash Announces 2022-23 Schedule
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia squash head coach Mark Allen announced the team’s 2022-23 schedule today, which features nine home dates as well as the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championships at the McArthur Squash Center.
UVA’s men will play 15 matches with nine of those at home. The men’s season starts at home vs. Navy on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The Cavaliers also host Yale (Nov. 12), Columbia (No. 13), Penn (Nov. 18) and Western Ontario (No. 20), Rochester (Jan. 13), Chatham (Jan. 14), Drexel (Jan. 15) and Dickinson (Jan. 21).
The men will play on the road Dec. 2-4 in New Hampshire, facing Harvard, Dartmouth and MIT, then will face St. Lawrence on Jan. 22 in Washington, D.C., at Squash on Fire.
The women’s team will open the 2022-23 season at Franklin and Marshall on Nov. 5. UVA’s home slate will include Yale (Nov. 12), Columbia (Nov. 13), Penn (Nov 18), Stanford (Nov. 20), Chatham (Jan. 14), Drexel (Jan. 15) and Dickinson (Jan. 21).
The Cavalier women face Harvard, Dartmouth and Williams in New Hampshire (Dec. 2-4) and St. Lawrence and Georgetown on Jan. 22 in Washington, D.C., at Squash on Fire.
Virginia will host the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Conference Championships, Feb. 3-5, at the McArthur Squash Center. It is the second time UVA has hosted the MASC Championships, previously hosting in 2019.
Both teams will play at Princeton on Saturday, Feb. 11 and Cornell on Sunday, Feb. 12. The College Squash Association (CSA) Women’s National Championship will be hosted by Penn, Feb. 17-19. The CSA Men’s National Championships will be hosted by Trinity, Feb. 24-26.
The CSA Individual Championships are scheduled for March 3-5 at the Arlen Specter Squash Center in Philadelphia.
