Men’s Squash Caps Weekend with Win at MIT
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 5 Virginia men’s squash team (4-2) returned to conference play with a 9-0 win over MIT (5-3) on Sunday afternoon.
The Cavaliers won six matches 3-0 and Patrick Keller made his collegiate debut with a win at the eight position on the ladder.
Taha Dinana finished 3-0 on the weekend after picking up a 3-0 (11-6, 11-7, 11-6) win at the two position over MIT’s Tom Hogan. Aly Hussein won at the top of the ladder, 3-0 (11-8, 11-8, 11-7) over Eli Kramer. Cullen Little earned a 3-2 win after falling behind 2-1. Little battled back to win the fourth game 11-9 and the fifth 12-10.
CJ Baldini won 3-1 at the four position. Evan Hajek, Charles Braff, Max Valezquez and Keller all won 3-0 and Andrew Barr rounded out the ladder at nine with a 3-1 win.
The Cavaliers will have a break before returning to action to host two weekends of matches in January.
