CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 7 Virginia women’s squash team (5-2) won 9-0 over No. 24 Chatham (4-4) on Saturday afternoon at the McArthur Squash Center.

Nine of UVA’s victories came in straight games. It was the first game back for the women since playing in the first week of December.

Meagan Best won 3-0 at the No. 1 position on the ladder. Lina Tammam earned her first victory at the two spot with a 3-0 win. Olivia Walsh recorded her fourth win of the season with a 3-1 win at the three.

Nicolina Tessitore won 3-0 at the No. 4 position. Eliza Mills played the five position and earned a 3-0 win. Julia Curran, Griffin Dewey, Erin O’Connor and Caroline Pellegrino rounded out the rest of UVA’s lineup, respectively, as they each earned 3-0 wins.

Nasreen Hashmi won 3-0, dropping just three points, in an exhibition match.
