No. 5 Virginia Cruises to 8-1 Win Over No. 7 Drexel
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 5 Virginia men’s squash team (7-2, 3-0 MASC) won its fifth-straight match with an 8-1 victory over No. 7 Drexel (5-3) on Sunday afternoon at the McArthur Squash Center.
JP Tew came back after dropping the first game to win 3-1 at the No. 4 position as Virginia clinched the match with its fifth win. Omar El Torkey and Taha Dinana cruised to 3-0 wins at the two and three positions, respectively. CJ Baldini and Myles McIntyre picked up 3-0 wins at six and seven and Charles Braff won his exhibition match 3-0.
Aly Hussein added a 3-0 win at the No. 1 position on the ladder to give the Cavaliers a 6-1 lead. Evan Hajek won 3-1 and Cullen Little closed out the match with a 3-0 win at five.
Tyler Mackesy took a 2-0 lead at the nine, but eventually fell in a five-game match 3-2.
