CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 7 Virginia women’s squash team (5-3, 1-1) picked up its first MASC win of the season with a 9-0 sweep over No. 26 Dickinson (1-9) on Saturday afternoon at the McArthur Squash Center.

Griffin Dewey took no time at all, dropping just six points in the match, to put UVA on the board with a 3-0 victory at nine. She was followed by Maureen Foley with a win at five and Eliza Mills won at seven. UVA took a 4-0 advantage after Meagan Best won 3-0 at one and Sydney Maxwell clinched the victory with the fifth point at four.

Julia Curran won in straight games at eight. Emma Jinks give the Cavaliers a 7-0 lead with her win at three and Maria Moya finished right after Jinks with a 3-0 win at No. 2. Nicolina Tessitore closed out the 9-0 victory for UVA with her win at six.
