No. 5 Virginia Falls 6-3 to No. 1 Trinity
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 5 Virginia women’s squash team fell 6-3 to No. 1 Trinity on Saturday afternoon in the CSA Championship Semifinals at the Arlen Specter Center.
UVA’s Meagan Best gave UVA its first point of the day with a 3-0 win at the No. 1 position. Olivia Walsh added a 3-2 win at five and Sydney Maxwell won 3-2 at six. Walsh won the second and fourth games and took the fifth-game 11-3. Maxwell was down 2-0 and came back to win the next three games to take the match.
Maureen Foley and Eliza Mills battled in 3-2 losses at seven and nine. Maria Moya, Lina Tammam and Emma Jinks all fell 3-1 as the Cavaliers each one at least one game in the match.
