HARTFORD, Conn. – The No. 5 Virginia men’s squash team (13-6) fell 5-4 to No. 8 Cornell on Saturday in the consolation bracket of the CSA Men’s Squash Championship.

UVA and Cornell traded points throughout the match. Aly Hussein took over an hour to gut out a 3-1 win at No. 1. Omar El Torkey picked up a 3-0 win at two and Evan Hajek won 3-0 at five.

CJ Baldini fell 3-2 at four after falling behind 2-0 and winning the next two games.

Myles McIntyre’s 3-0 win at six put UVA ahead 4-3 with two courts remaining. Both courts went to five games. JP Tew and Charles Braff battled, both falling 3-2 to close out the match.

Virginia will pay Princeton on Sunday at 11 a.m. in the final round of the CSA Championship.
