CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia sophomore Rachel Clark was named the ACC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday (Feb. 28).

Clark led Virginia with seven goals in its 19-9 win over then-No. 23 Louisville. The Devon, Pa., native’s seven goals were a career high. Clark had two goals in the first half as UVA battled back from a 4-1 deficit to tie the game 6-6 at halftime. The attacker took over the game in the second half, scoring five goals as the Cavaliers outscored the Cardinals 13-3 in the second half.

Clark hit the eventual game-winning goal to punctuate UVA’s 4-0 run to start the second half and take the final lead of the game. She added three goals in five minutes of game time as UVA opened up a 14-8 lead.

Clark has scored a hat trick in all four games and has scored six and seven goals in each of UVA’s last two games, respectively. She currently leads the ACC and is third in the NCAA with 5.00 goals per game.
