CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 11 Virginia’s Varsity Eight has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week, announced Tuesday (April 4).
Virginia’s Varsity Eight won both of its races at the ACC-B1G Dual last weekend at Rivanna Reservoir as the Cavaliers won 10 of 13 races overall.
UVA’s V8 raced past Ohio State 6:55.6-7:02.9 on March 31 and followed with an impressive 6:39.17-6:44.07 win over Michigan on April 1.
As a team, Virginia won five of the seven races against No. 14 Ohio State and five of six races against No. 9 Michigan.
The Cavaliers return to action at the Ivy Invite in Princeton, N.J. on April 15-16.
