Third Varsity Four Named ACC Crew of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  No. 9 Virginia’s Third Varsity Four has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week, announced Tuesday (April 18).

Virginia’s Third Varsity Four won two races and placed second in a Second Varsity Four race last weekend at the Ivy Invite on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.

UVA’s 3V4 raced past No. 4 Princeton, No. 16 Rutgers and Columbia with a time of 7:18.1. The Cavaliers’ 3V4 topped No. 10 Penn and No. 16 Rutgers with a time of 7:14.43. The 3V4 capped an impressive weekend of rowing by finishing second to UVA’s 2V4 7:14.49-7:15.56 and defeating No. 6 Brown.

The Cavaliers host top-ranked Texas on Monday, April 24. First race is set for 8 a.m.
