Thirteen Hoos Named To ACC Softball All-Academic Team
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Thirteen members of the Virginia softball team were named to the ACC Softball All-Academic Team it was announced by the league office on Tuesday (June 7).
The 13 members is the most by the Cavaliers in program history.
The ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards were established in September 2007 to be awarded annually to the top junior or senior student-athlete in their respective sports.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Student-Athletes must also have competed in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.
